1. What is A Better DAI?

A Better Dai is a 501-C3 Learning Center that specializes in helping 3rd–8th grade students.  Their after-school program is designed to improve reading and math skills, build confidence, and provide a safe, supportive environment for learning and personal growth.

2. Who can enroll in the program?

Our program is open to students in grades 3–8, with priority given to children who may be struggling academically or who attend schools in underserved communities.

3. How does the program help students improve in reading and math?

We provide targeted academic support through small group tutoring, individualized learning plans, and interactive activities that make learning engaging and relatable. Our focus is on early intervention and consistent skill-building to help students excel.

4. Where and when does the program take place?

Sessions are held after school at designated partner locations in North Las Vegas. Program days and times vary by site but generally run from Monday to Thursday, 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM.

5. Is there a cost to participate?

We are committed to making our program accessible to all families. Thanks to community partners and donors, many students attend at little or no cost. We also offer scholarships for qualifying families.

6. What other services do you provide besides academics?

In addition to academic support, we offer mentorship, life skills workshops, and enrichment activities. We also provide meals or snacks and, in some cases, assistance with transportation.

7. How do I enroll my child?

Parents and guardians can complete our enrollment form online or in person at one of our partner locations. Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged.

8. How can I get involved as a volunteer or partner?

We welcome volunteers, mentors, and community partners who want to help our students succeed. Opportunities include tutoring, assisting with events, providing meals, and sponsoring program resources.
